Atlanta Expert
[edit]Hi, you seem to know a lot about the neighborhoods in Atlanta. I was wondering if I could get some feedback from you about helping people moving into Atlanta. Shoot me an email at ericwu01@gmail.com if you get a chance. Thanks! Ericwu01 (talk) 00:20, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Welcome
[edit]Hi, and welcome to Wikpedia! I've noticed your edits to various Pensacola, Florida-related articles, especially the creation of Fort McRee... great job! Are you from Pensacola, out of curiousity? Again, welcome, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions or problems with anything. blankfaze | (беседа!) 18:44, 11 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- I was about to chime in the same question. We're both from Pensacola. Mike H 18:46, Jul 11, 2004 (UTC)
Simming
[edit]Hello, Do you mind if I make some changes to the simming page?
Some things off the top of my head... Move the first sentence up to the top and start overview with info about players and how the basic premise is to play a character in an imaginary universe, etc. With the blurb about simming organizations, I want to add that unlike most role-playing games, there is no company or central organization behind simming... so people have organized clubs.
I also want to move how to play up and expand it, and add a bit more about history.
Thanks --Chas Hammer 04:21, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
- I don't mind at all. I've had writing a proper introduction for the simming article on my list of things to do for a while but I haven't gotten a chance to do it. I look forward to seeing your changes. :) Let me know if you need any help with it. WarpFlyght 03:38, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

I think I'm about ready to move it out of my userspace, but I'd like you to have a look at it before I do so. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 20:13, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think the WikiProject page looks pretty good! Have you looked at laying out the "Articles to work on" section in a full-width box, though? It is very long, admittedly, but it's kind of distracting having things off to the left of it for its entire length. • WarpFlyght (talk) 20:39, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- I could move the images, templates, and categories sections to the right, but then the page feels "lopsided" to me. Perhaps you'd like a project subpage with a {{todo}} box that points to that list as its content? The title of the section could be a link to that subpage, and it's an easy matter to redirect the todo box content to the /Article subpage. A little complex, yes. But it sounds workable. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 21:22, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- How does this look? It is currently linked from the title of the "Articles to work on" page. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 21:29, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- Looks great! I say go for it. Send me a note when you get it copied out of your userspace! :) • WarpFlyght (talk) 21:58, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Location of Crawford Long Hospital
[edit]FYO, Crawford Long Hospital is in MIDTOWN, not downtown Atlanta. However, it's been said that she was killed at Peachtree Street around the 140 block in downtown, so I don't know which 'place of death' is correct so we can leave it as just "killed crossing Peachtree".→ R Young {yakłtalk} 13:47, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- I stand corrected, my apologies on that. It's a bit further up Peachtree than I thought it was. Leaving it "killed crossing Peachtree" is fine by me! • WarpFlyght (talk) 23:53, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Gulf Breeze High School Article
[edit]Thanks a lot for helping to make a decent article for GBHS and all of the other articles you've contributed to that had to do with the Pensacola area. You've done a great job to help represent the Pensacola area on Wikipedia.Pat 02:42, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for the compliment! The same definitely goes for you. I have been seeing your name appearing more and more in the edit summaries on my watchlist. Keep up the good work, and thanks! • WarpFlyght (talk) 07:01, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Self-promotion in Pensacola Beach article
[edit]Great work on the Pensacola area articles.
I noticed you deleted the annoying self-promotional paragraphs about the band Lunamantra from Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, and Destin. The same sort of thing is still listed on the Pensacola Beach article and probably should be deleted as well, but I don't think I'm yet qualified to do so. Want to take a look?
Thanks, Amanal 06:52, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- I did some cleanup, but it needs more attention than I can give it right now. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 15:20, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out, Amanal – and thanks for beating me to it, Disavian. ;) The Pensacola Beach article definitely needs attention. I added a few sources and reworked several paragraphs. There's a long way to go, obviously... Again, thanks Amanal, and I look forward to seeing you around Wikipedia! • WarpFlyght (talk • contribs) 23:02, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. Unfortunately, we don't have much to work with there. I think removing most of the external links significantly reduced the article length :p —Disavian (talk/contribs) 23:43, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Recent news
[edit]- Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate nominated for GA status
- I created Image:Pensacola City Density 1433px.jpg and put it on Pensacola, Florida#Demographics
- Pensacola, Florida has a thought-out todo list based on the content and layout of Columbus, Ohio and others
- I'm writing articles for people on List of Georgia Institute of Technology alumni. Not that you care about a hundred one-year NFL players in the 70s, but hey, the FA reviewers expressed a concern about redlinks. We do care about Chris Klaus, though. $15 million should have bought him an article by now :p
- There's a new panorama at the top of Georgia Institute of Technology#Campus
- Most of Georgia Tech traditions has been referenced. It's almost GA class IMO.
And that's just the past week or so. :) —Disavian (talk/contribs) 06:49, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Pensacola-related article
[edit]I see you're one of Andrew's friends, so I thought I'd drop this article to you so you can see it and give feedback. Tell me what you think: Escambia High School riots. Thanks! Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 06:20, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- I think it looks great! It seems NPOV (something a lot of articles on things like race riots have a hard time doing) and it's definitely informative. The only thing I can see adding at this point would perhaps be an image -- the school's current mascot or logo would do, although the best (and significantly harder) thing might be a newpaper photograph of one of the major riots, the police response, the KKK rally on the school grounds, or something else related to it. That's tough to track down, of course. If I run into anything like that, I'll pass it along. :) Good work! • WarpFlyght (talk • contribs) 00:03, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Wikimania in Atlanta!
[edit]Hi! I noticed your involvement on U.S. South-related articles, categories and WikiProjects, and I wanted to let you know about a bid we're formulating to get next year's Wikimania held in Atlanta! If you would like to help, be sure to sign your name to the "In Atlanta" section of the Southeast team portion of the bid if you're in town, or to the "Outside Atlanta" section if you still want to help but don't live in the city or the suburbs. If you would like to contribute more, please write on my talk page, the talk page of the bid, or join us at the #wikimania-atlanta IRC chat on freenode.org. Have a great day!
P.S. While this is a template for maximum efficiency, I would appreciate a note on my talk page so I know you got the message, and what you think. This is time-sensitive, so your urgent cooperation is appreciated. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 09:08, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Bon Secour probably could be a part of the Easter Shore but it's a tad east of the region in my judgment. I live in Daphne and have never really considered a part of the Eastern Shore. Looking at a map, the region from Spanish Fort south along US98 until it makes the 90 degree turn south of Fairhope is what I think of as the Eastern Shore. But I would not be upset if you want to include it.
Have you been to the area lately? You might not recognize it. JodyB talk 13:40, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
