User talk:Redcard
Welcome to Wikipedia. I think you stated on Talk:Sollog that you came over from Slashdot – I take it this was prompted by the recent article on the tug-of-war between Sollog And His Singing Sockpuppets and some of the editors here. I hope you'll see there's more to Wikipedia than the unfortunate Sollog incident and that you'll consider sticking around. Cheers, --MarkSweep 07:22, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Thank you :) I don't know if you'll read this here, if not I'll probably email you or something similar. Yes, I am aware that Wikipedia is a vast reference. I've actually used it for many things. It's a neat little community and the Sollog thing has encouraged me that it can be effective. You guys strived for NPOV despite his actions and were calm in the article itself. Sounds fun.. :) Nice to meet you! --Redcard 22:46, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- No need to email me, I usually check for replies here. I don't think there is a commonly accepted convention for you to reply on your own talk page (i.e. here) or on my talk page; either way works for me. --MarkSweep 23:06, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Thanks for removing the threatening statement from Talk:Sollog. I'm guessing our friend is busy spamming Florida's AG with bogus complaints via anonymous proxies. In fact, I hope that's what he's doing, since it's a dangerous strategy and it's quite possible it will backfire. --MarkSweep 19:20, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Heh.. no problem. This guy's a real nutcase :) At least I'm wandering around the Wiki more to get some other projects to work on / through :) Redcard 19:24, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
