Effect of the Lisbon Earthquake on Voltaire

This event is generally cited as one of the primary motivation for one of Voltaire's most famous works Candide, I think it would be helpful to readers to understand the effect that earthquake had on him as a person. The Slicer Of Bread (talk) 18:28, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV issue in “Views on race and slavery”

The phrasing of the beginning of the last paragraph of the “Views on race and slavery” section, which states “Zeev Sternhell argues that despite his shortcomings,” seems to violate neutral point of view (NPOV). 142.169.80.44 (talk) 17:03, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
