I was born in Surabaya, Indonesia. From ages seven to seventeen I attended several schools in Singapore, including four years in Anglo-Chinese School (Independent). I obtained my bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley.

Although I was raised and educated outside of Indonesia, I am fluent in Bahasa Indonesia in both written and speech. I also speak and write Mandarin fluently.

My interests include golf, tennis, baseball, piano, guitar, politics, finance, robotics, art and psychology.

I am an avid fan of Manchester City F.C. and Sergio Garcia.

I won several golf competitions in Indonesia and Singapore, including a national competition in 2003.
