Wikia is not a RS

[edit]

@Jason Quinn: Thanks for your additions, but Wikia shouldn't be used as it can be edited by anyone. I'll leave things for the moment if you want and are able to better source the names and ages, but if not then changes will need to be backed out. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 09:25, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I agree the material is poorly sourced at the moment and I'm aware of the deficiencies of the source. Maybe the whole section should be removed, or perhaps sent to the talk page for now. I had to leave the house earlier while working on that and knew the sources were an issue. In terms of actual reliability, not the Wikipedia definition of it, so far while gathering information on the captive dolphins the database has proven to be the most reliable source as other published material that would normally pass WP:RS has been either misleadingly out-of-date or simply wrong. I'll maybe remove the material for now until and work on it in a subpage until it's in better shape. Cheers, Jason Quinn (talk) 19:48, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
