Recent edits from Mcbatcom

This is in response to Mcbatcom's recent major edits to the page. I've kept some of them, but removed those which I found immediately objectionable.

Departure from ska genre ---> deleted
There is absolutely no reason to delete this, as it is sourced and pretty factual. You can't just remove major sections without notice, nor can you deliberately re-word direct quotes from interviews like you did in your last edit. The majority of this section are direct, sourced quotes from the band members, so I don't see how it would be contentious to keep up.

"these references and Parker Jacobs' 'revisionist' history is inaccurate. I would know. I am his older brother. I had the correct history up last night but someone deleted my comments."
Whether or not your claims are true, it still needs to be sourced. According to this 1997 LA Times article, which quotes the band members directly, "we happened upon a ska show in O.C.". Since the article doesn't specify any specific band but DOES specify a ska show, I've re-worded this section to exclude the G13 reference but still include the Christian Jacobs quotes.

"there is a bunch of other stuff that I revised but this is more accurate. We did not meet at church. We had mutual friends and were introduced that way. Crash also played Trombone the first two shows."
Since I'll err on the side of caution, I'll remove the direct reference to the church. All that matters is that it's made clear which members started the band.

And, while it's true that Crash started on trombone, he was at least playing bass by the time Midget Punchers was recorded. I thought about including the trombone fact somewhere in the article, but since it was only for two shows, I think it's enough that it's mentioned on Crash's own article.

It was then decided they'd start a 'psudeo'ska band instead..
Read the Not really ska bit above. Also, what is a "pseudo ska band"? Either you're playing ska or you're not, and The Aquabats were (predominantly) playing ska in the 1990s. A parody ska band is still a ska band.

Re-titled it... the Label was forced out of business.. title is misleading. Goldenvoice is still a great friend to the band..
I'm going to accept this because I can't find any reference which states otherwise, and it seems to be supported by the Mish-Mash interview. However, "Death of a label" sounds a bit too awkward, so I changed the heading to simply "Career decline", for now, at least.

2024 Touring Line Up … Sacramento Edition (August 2nd)

This may be trivial, but … in Sacramento, August 2,2024, the band were as follows;M.C.Bat Commander on vocals, Ricky Fitness on drums/vocals, Jimmy the Robot on saxophone/vocals, Eaglebones Falconhawk on lead guitar/vocals, Chainsaw on guitar/vocals, Gorney on bass/vocals, Mr.Ming of Sacramento on keyboards, and John Christianson ( of Reel Big Fish ) on trumpet/vocals. The missing Crash McLarsen - according to the M.C.Bat Commander - had been captured by the government, and had to miss the gig. Catboy’s absence was not explained. And Jesse Wagner of the Aggrolites performed vocals on the song “Playdough”. I can’t say if this was the touring line-up for the whole “Finally! 2024 Tour”.
