HRM is not Halifax
[edit]Halifax Regional Minicipality is not the place Halifax . Its mis leading to reference the bridge goping to the Halifax Regional Municipality when the actual place is Halifax the former city . --Pat 22:50, 22 June 2006 (UTC) Hailifax pennsulia is a good choice --Pat 20:48, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Photo caption and links
[edit]Fixed the caption on the picture from looking toward Dartmouth to looking toward Halifax. Also fixed a broken link in the External Links section. uberdog 12:30, 17 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Gomberg's disappearance
[edit]Is the disappearance of this individual deserving of mention on this article, particularly when it is only presumed that since his bicycle was found on or near the bridge that he jumped off the bridge? Perhaps it could be generalized to say that the bridge is the only cross-harbour bridge with a pedestrian walkway and therefore is considered a potential suicide landmark? The Golden Gate Bridge's entry (one of the most notorious suicide landmark in the world) doesn't mention specific cases in this fashion, nor do other bridge articles. Seems a bit unsavoury to me... - I'm removing the reference to Gomberg as this is unsubstantiated speculation. Many large bridges featuring pedestrian walkways are suicide landmarks and the Macdonald bridge does not deserve to be singled out in this fashion.Plasma east 02:38, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
