Confusing math verbiage in the lede

The lede says that 109 has a prime subscript, since it is the 29th prime number. Apparently this is because 29 is itself a prime number. Is this really a thing? I can't find any definitions for the phrase prime subscripts that use the term in this context. It actually took me a few minutes to figure out what they meant by prime subscript. Anyone have any ideas for how to make the verbiage easier to follow? Would it harm the article to completely remove the reference to 109 being a prime subscript - is it something that anyone would even need to know?
