To merge Checkered Past (TV programming block) into this article for short text and context. Klbrain (talk) 13:09, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request received to merge articles: Checkered Past (TV programming block) into Adult Swim; dated: May 2024. Proposer's Rationale: Widely unsourced "block within a block" that is non-notable for its own article, proposing consolidation into a section in the Adult Swim article. Discuss here. • Support Toonami Rewind is merged into the main Toonami article, and this block is basically an equivalent in terms to its non-notability. I believe ACME Night was also dissolved and merged for a similar reason just a little over a year ago, correct?--GalaxyFighter55 (talk) 03:20, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    • Reply: Correct, many other blocks and other special programs on Cartoon Network (i.e. Tickle U, Miguzi, Cartoon Theatre) were also merged into the network's article or deleted altogether for the same reasons. Most of CN's blocks outside of Adult Swim and Toonami aren't notable, memorable, or widely sourced enough to warrant their own individual articles. MikeM2011 (talk) 12:52, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Use of AI by Adult Swim

[edit]

In 2024 there appears to be an increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools during some Adult Swim cartoon and animation shows. One such tool is a display descriptor that creates a stream of English words to describe and explain what the viewer is seeing on the screen. Any background music, screen sounds, noises or character's dialog are all muted while the voice of the AI tool speaks.

This topic may belong in the article itself instead of :talk, but a discussion may be useful first? 173.25.45.23 (talk) 23:05, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
