Flaws
[edit]Jacques Martin took over as head coach of the Ottawa Senators in the middle of the 1995-1996 season. Therefor he could not have won a Cup with the Avs during the 1995-1996 season.
That and coaching the St. Louis Blues for the entirety of the 1986-87 and 1987-88 seasons is not exactly a short period, he was there for two full seasons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.91.222.147 (talk) 19:20, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
How many games coached in the NHL?
[edit]How many games coached has he coached? The article says 1,009 games; if you add all the games coached in the table, it's 927 and if you add the his wins-losses-ties-overtime losses for his total record then it's 882. Kingjeff (talk) 14:06, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
OK. I know that if you add up the records, it's wrong. So, 882 is the wrong number. Kingjeff (talk) 14:09, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
882 is wrong, so is 1,009, as his the winning percentage listed in the article. All of that was written before Martin became coach of the Habs. As for the end of the 10-11 season, he has coached 1,262 games, winning 600 and having a wins percentage of .559. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.91.222.147 (talk) 19:23, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Illiterate
[edit]He announced in an official interview on Sports Center on 1/21/07 that he is fact illiterate might want to add that with citation.
???You must be thinking of Jacques Demers! Demers has stated a number of times he is illiterate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.240.78.178 (talk) 16:17, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
yeah, that was Jacques Demers, former coach of the St. Louis Blues and the last Habs coach to win the Cup (1993). Demers is currently a commentator on RDS and a Conservative Party Senator. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.91.222.147 (talk) 19:21, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
