Proposed merge of Girl Scout Museum and Archives into Girl Scouts of the USA#Activities and programs
[edit]I created this, and with hindsight it probably doesn't meet N:ORG. I think a mention at Girl_Scouts_of_the_USA#Activities_and_programs or the centennial section (which also needs cleanup) wouldn't be amiss. Others have edited this so I won't be BOLD as creator but if there are no objections, happy to perform it. Star Mississippi 01:50, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose, per Scouting museums. They exist, the Girl Scout Museum and Archives is a valid and expandable topic, and it covers important areas of scouting history. Of course a full summary and link to the page should be mentioned and sourced in the section mentioned in the nom, but the stand-alone topic page covers an interesting former archival institute, and could catch the fancy of other editors who wish to expand it (i.e. where are the museum items and Girl Scout archives now located, since the museum has closed). - Plan to Edit!
- I am a college student editing this article for class.
- Timeline: through September to early October
- I noticed that Wikipedia has flagged that this article is written like an advertisement. I plan on remedying this by removing promotional content and inappropriate external links, and by adding encyclopedic content written from a neutral point of view. There are also several sections that need additional citations for verification, so I will be adding citations and references. Jeniferbarnes (talk) 14:11, 24 September 2024 (UTC)
